The GSK Consumer brand recently began a link with the Quick Service Restaurant chains offering their patrons free sachets of Horlicks. At Mama Cass, a sachet of Horlicks has been added to a standard loaf of Mama Cass bread which are quite popular. The same goes for patrons who buy Tastee Fried Chicken's several bread offerings. Why not try a hot cup of Horlicks as you eat your bread for breakfast?
Since GSK decided two years ago to leverage the iconic Horlicks brand beyond weary moms who usually take a cup of Horlicks at the end of a busy day, the consumer drinks marketer has looked for innovative ways to serve the beverage to a wider audience. Last year, GSK put Horlicks in small size sachets which made it more mobile and also affordable.
And could start competing against any of flavoured milk drinks, colas and orange flavours and yoghourts for the lunch time beverage drink.GSK Consumer's recently appointed marketing director Emmanuel Onwubiko is leading the new charge to get the company's veritable consumer brands such as Horlicks and Ribena into the hands of more consumers.
