Coca Cola Nigeria has ended an in-store sampling campaign to support its recent launch of two new 5Alive variants and re packaging Pulpy orange December 6,2017 in Lagos. The 5Alive Apple comes in a 35 cl PET bottle,so too, a new 5Alive 35 cl Tropical fruit variant and a 35cl Pulpy Orange product.
Last yaer, Coca cola had launched a so-called solo PET bottle for its flagship cola and orange brands—Coke, Fanta and Sprite which were well received by the market. It would appear the soft drinks giant is doing the same for its fruit juice brand,5Alive. The small 35cl PET bottle helps 5Alive become more accessible to the consumer.
Coca-cola Nigeria’s Marketing manager, Stills &Flavours, Gholahan Sanni said at the media launch of the products in Lagos that, the need to keep satisfying our consumers and serve the market with the right value proposition drove the introduction of the new 5Alive variants.
The in-store free product sampling campaign was staged at major retail chains round the country such as Shoprite and Spar. Consumers shopping for other items at Shoprite at Jabi Mall in Abuja, for instance are invited to take a free drink of 5alive apple or tropical fruit. A little observation of the free sampling by consumers indicates that the variants have been well received by many consumers.
Howbeit, a week into the new year, Coca Cola may have closed the in-store sampling campaign for the new 5Alive variants.
